Briana Marin has been performing in film & television, dance, and theatre for over a decade in both New York City and Los Angeles.
Briana began her performance career directly out of high school as a professional ballerina with The Dance Theatre of Harlem, relocating from Northern California to New York City. She worked directly with Arthur Mitchell and performed works by acclaimed choreographers George Balanchine, Geoffrey Holder, Michael Smuin, Robert Garland, Karole Armitage and Warren Adams. She toured nationally and internationally performing classical, neo-classical and various modern works at venues including Lincoln Center, Sadler’s Wells, The Kennedy Center, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, and The White House. In between touring and shoots on set Briana earned a Performing Arts degree with honors through St. Mary’s College of California’s LEAP program. Briana has worked closely with Ammunition Theatre, a company dedicated to serving and promoting underrepresented voices through producing diverse workshops and original productions.
Film & Television highlights include recurring roles on The Leftovers (HBO), The Night Shift (NBC), NCIS: Los Angeles (CBS); guest starring roles on Love Life (HBO), Blue Bloods (CBS), Law and Order: Criminal Intent (NBC); and supporting roles in feature films Sleepless and A Walk Among The Tombstones. She created the leading role of Swissy in the original series Palomino & Swissy for MadRiver Pictures.
In 2020 Briana began working in VR animation as a director, motion capture actor, dancer, and choreographer. Within the Metaverse she has produced, performed and directed over 100 projects in various scripted episodic shows, commercials, pilots, and music videos including interactive tech platforms for Pepsi, Cameo, Mattel and Netflix.
